About Sofia Muhammad
I have graduated with a degree in BSc Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London. I gained extensive research skills in the Research and Statistics Module, including data handling and analysis skills for lab report writing, teamwork skills, and IT skills, including use of SPSS for data analysis, and using online platforms, such as Gorilla, to create experiments online. Working with Professor Catherine Price and the PLORAS team as a project intern helped me gain key research skills, including CT & MRI scan processing, SPM & MATLAB, lesion segmentation, fMRI scanning and fMRI analysis. I am an aspiring Clinical Psychologist, and am motivated to increase awareness about mental health within ethnic minority groups where there still is a lack of awareness about the various treatments and help available for individuals who have mental health problems.
