Sofia Papageorgiou, has a B.A in Psychology, M.A in Learning Disabilities- Community Care from Keele University U.K and has a Diploma in Clinical Specialization in Systemic Psychotherapy ( Individual, Group, Couples, Family - four year program S.A.N.E -System Attachment Narrative Encephalon - enriched Systemic Psychotherapy) from Logo Psychis – Training and Research Institute for Systemic Psychotherapy in Athens, Greece.She also has a Certificate in Clinical Specialization in Couples Therapy ( one year program from Logo Psychis Institute).She is currently working as a counselor/family -systemic psychotherapist with children/families/individuals in private practice.She has also worked for the 3 last years in Early Intervention Program of Amymoni, which addresses the needs of infants and preschoolers (0-6 years old) with visual impairment, low vision or any diagnosed visual perception problem. She was also a director in Supported Living Program for children/adults with learning disabilities and/or visual impairment ( Polihni- Amymoni NGO ). Has also worked for many years in nursery and primary schools, supporting children in their psycho/educational development and emotional needs.She has a special research interest in the area of psycho-biography and its value in psychotherapy.
