I worked as an orientation leader for SPOP (Student Parent Orientation Program), an overnight program for incoming first year and transfer students. Through this volunteer position, I attended weekly trainings as well as an overnight training. The program is designed to educate students and get them accustomed to the campus before starting classes. I worked a total of five orientation programs throughout the summer. In this role, I served as a mentor, helping students navigate their early college experience and prepare themselves for their journeys at UC Irvine.

College Corps is an inaugural program launched by Governor Gavin Newsom and held under California Volunteers. Students across 45 campuses are given the opportunity to earn a living allowance and an education award. In order to successfully complete the program, students must complete a minimum of 450 hours of community service. UCI College Corps will focus on service in climate action and food insecurity. Through my time as a College Corps Fellow, I have worked with El Sol Academy in Santa Ana, the OC Food Bank, as well as Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.

As Director of Spirits and Traditions, I lead a committee of five students. I attend weekly meetings, biweekly board meetings, and quarterly events. We organize weekly icebreakers and socials to increase member retention. My committee plans quarterly events such as study breaks to support our organization's members. My role includes assisting the UCI Alumni Association with events such as UCI Homecoming. My committee is also tasked with the planning and execution of SAA's end of year banquet.

Work closely with the Vice President of Membership to recruit new members, read member applications, and conduct new member interviews. The membership committee was also tasked with coordinating the organization's family system and family competitions as well as planning retreats.

Work with a committee of eight, under the Director of Spirits and Traditions. Help plan socials, execute weekly icebreakers, and work to promote school spirit.

As President of Club Softball at UCI, I am tasked with managing an executive and general board of five to ten members. I communicate with our league (the National Club Softball Association) as well as other schools to schedule our games. My responsibilities include everything from planning practices, ordering uniforms, booking hotels and travel accommodations for games, and coaching the team. I carry out this role while also competing on the team.

Plan and execute virtual fundraisers. Attend board trainings held by UCI club sports. Help with member retention during a virtual year.

Club Softball at UCI is a competitive fast pitch softball team. We are a member of the NCSA (National Club Softball Association) and play against teams from other universities in Southern California and Arizona.

The program offers classes to people with a range of physical and cognitive disabilities including cerebral palsy, post-stroke, and autism. I worked with the program's adaptive strength training, adaptive stretching and core training, adaptive swimming, and adaptive sports classes. My responsibilities included assisting students with exercises and stretches, playing sports with students and other helpers, as well as assisting in the pool during swim class. At the end of my internship, I gave a presentation on Parkinson's disease to the program staff.

My responsibilities included keeping facilities clean and sanitized, checking-in and scheduling patients through WebPT, answering and making phone calls, and checking insurances. I also performed therapeutic ultrasounds, laser therapy, and electrical stimulation. I worked one on one with patients, directing them through exercises and stretches as well as assisting with heating pads and ice packs.

In this position, I was tasked with interacting with prospective students and parents. I provided customer service while working the front desk, helping students navigate on-campus housing. By answering questions via phone, I was able to walk students through the housing application process. I also used computer systems including Google and Microsoft programs, while working with a team of two other student housing advisors.
