Sea Turtle Conservation Fieldwork Intern
CurrentAs a Sea Turtle Conservation Intern at Osa Conservation Campus in Costa Rica, I contributed to the protection of Olive Ridley and Green Sea turtles along Piro Beach on the Osa Peninsula. My role involved morning and night beach patrols, conducting nest censuses, and gathering vital data on population trends and nesting behaviors. I assisted in relocating nests to our hatchery to enhance hatchling survival rates and conducted post-hatch evaluations to assess nest success. Additionally, I gained hands-on experience in native tree restoration and wildlife monitoring practices across diverse ecosystems
