Moreover, I am the Co-founder of a startup specialized in e-tax solutions. We were successful in signing a strategic partnership agreement with the Government of Jordan and building robust investor relations. Co-FounderDareebatech Nov 2016 - PresentAmman, JordanDareebaTech is a Jordanian fintech supported by Oasis500 (the investment arm of King Abdullah II Fund for Development). DareebaTech aims to prominently contribute towards developing a modern tax administration system in Jordan and the MENA region by simplifying and facilitating the process of submitting tax returns, where its e-system will lead to better levels of tax compliance, and will assist governments to improve tax transparency.I was able to contribute to the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Jordan, namely the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MoDEE), and the Income and Sales Tax Department to build, operate, and maintain the e-tax return submission. We were also able to build strategic investor relations and secure funds of around $300k. Moreover, our startup was selected for multiple prestigious entrepreneurship programs such as the Silicon Valley Matchmaking Program (Dec 2 – Dec 7, 2019) endorsed by MoDEE, the American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan, the World Bank, and TechWadi. Among tens of applicants, DareebaTech was chosen as part of 15 Jordanian startups to participate in the Program. On behalf of the startup, I attended workshops, B2B meetings, and visits to the headquarters of Facebook, Google, 500 Startups, Salesforce, and Uber (See link below). It is worth mentioning that my experience with DareebaTech as both an entrepreneur and a co-founder has propelled me to launch a CSR scheme of which I was able to perform capacity engagement activities to mentor and coach youth, namely in the fields of revenue streaming for small businesses and entrepreneurship. -
