I am using conversation design and user research to help build effective and personalized chat services to support vulnerable people globally. So far, Turn has helped 216 social impact organisations have 680 million life-changing conversations with >22 million people.

I started a four-year psychotherapy training course, specialising in existential, phenomenological and neuroaffective approaches. I am already enjoying the challenges, the cohort, the theory, the exercises, and the deep discussions.The course is part-time and modules run friday-saturday-sunday 10 times per year.

Neuroscience-based games are used to personalize the treatment. Alongside the therapy, users can access meditation, reflection, and visualization exercises to help them understand and overcome their social anxiety. Developed novel analysis methods to understand traveling waves along the hippocampus.Contributed to the development and implementation of new room-temperature ("optically pumped") magnetoencephalography sensors placed directly on the scalp to get better signal-to-noise ratio.This work was done as part of doing a postdoc with Neil Burgess at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience at UCL.

Developed novel 3D printed head-casts, neural simulations and anatomical modeling in combination with Bayesian source reconstruction methods to figure out whether it is possible to reliably detect the hippocampus using magnetoencephalography (MEG). To improve data analysis, I used simulations and current flow models of brain activity and extended these to include the hippocampus. I evaluated these using different Bayesian inversion algorithms which I then applied to real data, collected with head-casts and a reliable spatial task.
