Used the linear least squares regression model and cross-correlation to study the relationship between El Nino-Southern Oscillations and the spread of influenza and Covid-19, with the aim to create a model to predict the effect of the climate on the spread of infectious diseases. The results of our research were presented at the American Geophysical Union meeting.

As an academic intern, my responsibilities include assisting students with lab assignments in Python, along with a standard set of numerical and data visualization tools, as well as teaching statistical techniques such as testing hypotheses, A/B testing, confidence intervals, least squares regression, and classification.

Built a lentiviral vector for CRISPR-cas screening of genes involved in the incorporation of selenocysteine into synthesized proteins. Working with a team, learned the necessary methods to successfully clone the different SECIS sequences with the specially made EcoRI restriction site, and sequence the final constructions.
