• GENERAL MOTORS SPONSORED PROJECT (JAN ’02 – AUG ’02) o Worked in a team of five to “create an innovative human-car interface that incorporates human- like ‘low-impedance’ interaction styles (e.g. gestures) to support information or entertainment goals without compromising safety”. o Designed and tested a gesture based interface for cars focusing on navigation and entertainment tasks in a simulated driving environment. o Designed prototypes, implemented a prototype using Java and collected usability metrics using Wizard of Oz technique.• INFORMEDIA (AUG ’01 – DEC ’01) o Worked in a team of five to analyze, using several HCI techniques, the user interface of Informedia, an application that stores and retrieves digital videos. o Formed the basis of a poster presented as part of the Proceedings of the 2nd ACM/IEEE-CS joint conference on Digital Libraries.
