As an aspiring student medical social worker, I have shadowed in various cases and will be managing cases independently at the out-patient clinic, primarily providing financial and care assistance. I have attended trainings on expressive arts therapy and have experience working with clients from diverse ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds, and medical conditions. Additionally, I assisted in breast cancer and stroke support groups and will be exposed to cases in in-patient wards, including A&E, palliative medicine, psychiatric, ICU, and rehabilitation. I attended multidisciplinary meetings to discuss welfare plans for patients, which will further enhance my understanding of the holistic approach to providing medical and social care.

First NGOs aiming to promote Model UN and SDGs in Macau. Think global, impact local.I established the first legally registered NPO/NGO in Macau with a focus on Model United Nations and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As the voluntary leader of the Executive Committee for three years, I liaised with external supporting organisations, media, and academic advisors. I organised the successful Macau Model United Nations Conference and delivered talks in 30 local schools, engaging over 1000 participants in the region. Our efforts were recognised by the Macao Education and Youth Affairs Bureau, and the Association was invited to speak at various organisations and institutions. In addition, I represented the Association in the United Nations SDSN Youth and coordinated numerous events, including a human library on domestic violence and a conference on life and death education. I also participated in the International Conference on Sustainable Development 2023.

As a student social worker, I independently handled various cases, including providing support to caregiver with depression, suspected child abuse, and reintegrating into the community from hospitalisation. I utilised multiple counselling skills, such as the strength-based approach and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and collaborated with Field Unit and School Social Workers to deliver comprehensive care. Additionally, I designed and implemented a 6-session therapeutic group for parents on parenting, communication, and self-exploration, based on the Satir Model, which received positive feedback from both my supervisor and clients. I observed child welfare meetings and different court cases, which provided me with a better understanding of legal and ethical considerations in social work practice.
