Macau Model United Nations Promotion Association

Cultivating interest in international affairs for Macau secondary school students, nurturing their global vision and discernment to criticise the abundance of contemporarily encountered issues through the kaleidoscope of perspectives, and promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, the Macau Model United Nations Promotion Association (MMUNPA) was established in November 2020, as the first non-profit academic organisation to promote the unique culture of Model United Nations (MUN) in Macau, by 10 passionate Macau youngsters to embrace the belief – "think global, impact local". Albeit our brief establishment, we have organised myriads of MUN workshops and trainings for secondary school students in Macau, and have collaborated with organisations worldwide in conducting current affairs lounges and roundtable meetings to foster interactions between students and international participants. Committed to providing a platform for students to explore international affairs in a sophisticated scrutiny, the Association has organised the very first “Macau Model United Nations Conference” in summer 2022, attracting local, Hong Kong, mainland China, and Taiwan students coming from 30 different schools.
