I manage the Data/GIS program for the EPA Region 9 START Contract, covering California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. Our team works closely with EPA on removals and emergency responses, including spills, terrorist attacks, and federal disasters involving chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear releases.I led the Data Team on the 2020 & 2021 California Fires, Red Hill Drinking Water contamination, Typhoon Mawar, and 2023 Maui Fires responses.

Lead position for GIS Data Organization at MTC. First point of contact for GIS data requests from the public and internally. Manages users and roles in SQL Server, maintains data on multiple Amazon Cloud servers, ensures the upkeep of metadata, designs system architectures, and assists with back-end database design for webmaps. Automated the sorting, merging, and importing of large updates of TomTom basemap data into SQL Server using batch files and ArcPy. Created a GIS Inventory that catalogues all map services/layer files/datasets we have in our distributed geodatabases using Python and SQL. Worked with a developer to design a clean front-end interface for the Inventory. The website allows users to search everything in the Inventory, add search results to ArcMap/AGOL, and view and update the metadata. Implemented full text searching on the metadata to enable a Google-like search for users Developed a Regional Parking Database to collect parking regulation and occupancy data for each block face in the Bay Area. Published Collector App for field crew to update parking occupancy data from the field. Developed the Regional Transportation Plan Database for the 2017 RTP. Maintained the development, test, and production databases for the Call for Projects website.

Built mapping classes in PHP for import into Postgres PostGIS database. Updated code in Flex to allow Cartograph's map viewer to handle display of DigiGlobe imagery. Worked with ESRI Flex API to pull in basemap for map viewer and obtain digitized coordinates for online digitizing.

Currently studying how to model light and shadow, building constructs for figure drawing, and abstracting shapes to get a better likeness using graphite and carbon. Working up to realist oil painting.

Taught employees how to use ArcGIS 8.1 software for non-profit housing development, planning, and tenant organizing. Developed the Center's GIS database using Census data, centerline data and cadastral data from the City of San Francisco's DTIS. Created several maps and wrote a report on how non-profit community development agencies in San Francisco could use GIS for grant-writing, community planning and organizing, and affordable housing development.
