Managing a team of more than 50 international and local professional in the fields of TB Multiple Drug Resistance, Laboratory and Diagnostics (developing and operationalizing the updated Laboratory Network Strategic Plan), Pharmacovigilance, Private Sector Engagement (establishing the first private sector diagnostic consortium in the country in partnership with Cepheid and other relevant sectors in the country), introducing new treatment regimens (the all-oral short treatment regimen), Behavior Change Communication and Marketing and Active TB Drug Safety Monitoring and Management (aDSM).Introduced and institutionalized several new shorter treatment regimens for active TB disease, TBPreventive Therapy, new diagnostic technologies such as Ultraportable Xray, Truenat and laboratoryconnectivity solutions.To strengthen the national TB program, the project supported the plans and activities of the NationalCoordination Committee (NCC), as national multisectoral platform to address different SocialDeterminants of Health (SDoH) within approved governance and accountability frameworks.Based on the DOH priorities to accelerate the implementation of the Universal Health Care (UHC)systems, the project designed and piloted different UHC modalities using TB as a tracer program.Engaged in and facilitated several locally led development processes with the government, relevantnetworks, organizations, and private sector to set their local agendas and priorities, develop localstrategies and action plans, and provide the required technical assistance and support to strengthentheir local capacities, leadership, and resources to execute their plans/solutions.
