So please feel free to reach out to connect/follow.The full details . . .MY ENGINEERING WORK: I'm a mechanical/energy engineer who enjoys helping building owners with financially viable energy savings projects.In my early positions, I worked on large ESPC projects where my tasks included climbing through mechanical rooms & calculating/designing the systems, construction/project management, and through the M & V phase. This hands-on knowledge really helped me in my career as I attained a greater understanding of the projects as a whole and don't just see the projects through the blueprints.Since then, I have moved more towards the management side of things, but still maintain a strong foothold on the technical side by providing oversight and general guidance to the engineering team. Currently, as Director, Green & Energy Services, I'm involved in both technical work overseeing & guiding the engineering team as well as business & marketing to increase the revenue stream from this department. My firm, GRS Group provides due diligence transactional services related to the mortgage finance/CRE world. MY PASSION FOR MENTORING: I am where I am in my career because of those that supported and mentored me along the way. All of the internal energy/water calculation methodologies and approaches used by the engineering team were developed by me and I am continuously tweaking our calculation sheets both for changing conditions as well as streamlining the process. The team of energy engineers reports to me and I offer both technical guidance and final review of all of their work. On the business end, I am responsible for maintaining the gross margin number of my department and identifying areas of improvement. As part of my marketing & outreach efforts, I have spoken at various conferences including the Association of Energy Engineers (East, West, and World), several sustainability conferences, and various smaller presentations for individual lenders and commercial real estate groups.
