I researched and wrote on issues relating to addiction and public policy. I participated in the development of the Model Opioid Litigation Proceeds Act, released by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy in October 2021. I organized the Opioid Litigation Summit, a two-day convening of experts discussing how best to direct the opioid litigation settlement proceeds. I developed white papers, clinical research papers, model state legislation, and law review articles that span topics relating to addiction policy, health justice, and public health.

I wrote memoranda and assisted with trial preparation for reproductive justice litigation in Indiana, Texas, and Minnesota. I also conducted research and developed recommendations for abortion clinics on state and local policies and regulations.

I handled submission review, oversaw article editing, edited articles, and led the initiative to diversify the authors and scholarship published by the Northeastern University Law Review.In our Volume 13, Issue 1 publication, I edited "Beyond Transparency and Accountability: Three Additional Features Algorithm Designers Should Build into Intelligence Platforms" by Peter K. Yu. In the our Volume 13, Issue 2, I edited the lead article, "One Nation, Two Teams: The U.S. Women’s National Team’s Fight for Equal Pay," by Sarah Pack, Thomas A. Baker III and Bob Heere.

I drafted, edited, revised, and conducted research for materials for the second phase of the Center’s report, “Assessing Legal Responses to COVID-19.” I also developed recommendations for COVID-19 strategies to present to Joe Biden’s campaign. In addition, I edited judicial education materials on health equity and social determinants of health.

I wrote internal memoranda on cases for the Justices, analyzed and developed recommendations on applications for further appellate review, and wrote portions of an opinion about criminal procedure and evidence. I also took the lead on an opinion regarding the interpretation of Massachusetts's involuntary commitment statute.

I conducted policy research and completed a memorandum on drug policy as it intersected with the rights of pregnant women and parents, and child welfare. I also assisted with research and writing of other memoranda on the health care rights of incarcerated populations with substance use disorder and drug courts. This research culminated in a larger report published by the O'Neill Institute in October 2019, which I cite and fact checked. I also worked on memoranda on the health rights of incarcerated populations generally, which was presented to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Finally, I tweeted and blogged about public health issues relating to family separation and the opioid crisis.

I worked for Necrason during two Vermont legislative sessions as a notetaker during committee meetings, with a special focus on health care. I also attended and took notes on Senate and House floor meetings and did client outreach.

Duties as an intern at Law Line of VT include: organizing case files and compiling data for clients on health care, family, and financial laws. I was given the specific task of helping the paralegal that runs the Vermont Volunteer Lawyer Project, so I have been reaching out to clients and pro bono attorneys on cases and helping organize clinics.

While I interned for Senator Sanders, I did the following tasks: office administration work, drafting letters to constituents when they write to Senator Sanders with issues that are not within his jurisdiction, drafting letters of congratulation to outstanding Vermonters, accompanying outreach staff on day trips, doing side projects for outreach and constituent advocacy staff, helping the staff assistants run the font desk and phones, opening and distributing mail, and reading through local newspapers and finding articles that mentioned Senator Sanders.

I did barn chores at Weatogue Stables. These including picking stalls, administering medications, turning horses in/out, feeding, watering, keeping the barn tidy, and cleaning tack.

Great Barrington, Ma

Taught first-time skiers, usually between the ages of three and six.

East Canaan, Ct

I worked at a program for children that met weekday mornings. We supervised a range of ages, from three to eleven, for three hours a day. Activities included games, arts and crafts, and pool and playground time.
