Designed and developed major parts of the Company Fundamentals analytics system (Worldscope). Worldscope is a company fundamentals product that helps investors track the health and wealth of public companies by presenting companies’ financial statements and other reports and filings. Worldscope offers standardized financial statement data, per share data, calculated ratios, pricing and textual data that is published on various time series levels.The rebuild project involved design and development of the Worldscope database along with functionality to generate and publish analytics and fundamentals data. Worked with an off-site dev team to get the system developed, up and running and deployed to production.I was solely responsible for many upgrades such as replacement of an external pricing data source with internal Reuters pricing that ended up in huge cost savings. Led many improvement projects that enhanced the product and also ended up huge performance and efficiency gains, improving timeliness for the end clients.Responsible for setting up the private companies financials system - this system ingests different feeds from external private company data vendors, provides a generic database structure to hold the financials data and publish this to product in an xml feed format. Responsible for Worldscope backward compatibility mapping module that allowed data flow from new collection tool into the Worldscope product. This involves analysis of requirements, design, coding and deployment of the mapping and business rules to ensure dataflow withtout any impact and disruption to clients.

Worked on the backend data for the First Call Earnings system - edit site. This system was used by earnings ananlysts to collect earnings related information such estimates earnings, recommendattions, growth rates from brokererage firms across all regions (US, UK, FarEast) via various channels such as notes (automated information sent from brokers), input via UI from collection/analysts group. Was involved in development of the backend applications that transformed the collected data into various value-add derived data points based on algorithms owned by Frist Call. This involved large amounts of current and historical data - coding and tuning of the applications to get best possible performance, efficiency was key.Designed and developed batch processing system for quantative data collection tool. This process automated the ingestion of different formats of data from brokerage firms. It got rid of any manual intervention/checking/reformatting saving the data teams hours of manual checking and work each day.Worked on analyzing and tuning of database queries used by various applications to improve overall performance and efficiency of the earnings collection system.

Involved in development and deployment of Property (commercial & residential) Tax Application used by UK Property Tax Collection Department. Development involved coding frontend UI and backend database applications (including scripts to automate tasks, database procedures and functions). Deployment involved onsite client application install, along with troubleshooting issues during this process.
