DIAL / GHIAL / GGIAL Tech-refresh / MSI Project As the Test and Commissioning Manager for the DIAL/GHIAL/GGIAL Tech-refresh/MSI Project since April 2018, Sonal Agarwal has played a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation of airport IT systems. Her responsibilities include leading the test and commissioning process, developing and executing a strategy for remote point-to-point/master integration testing in response to COVID-19 restrictions, participating in commissioning activities, and reviewing/approving test plans and specifications. Sonal has also strategized the execution and implementation process, known as Cut-Over, for the entire Airport IT Systems across both greenfield and brownfield airports. Through effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, she has streamlined the identification of bottlenecks and suggested corrective measures to ensure smooth operations.Her key result areas (KRAs) include providing test and commissioning leadership, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and execution of activities, and monitoring progress to meet project timelines and objectives. Steered the standardization of the documentation process and developed templates for all vendors involved in the project. Introduced an innovative remote integration testing strategy, pioneering the use of conferencing tools to facilitate seamless integration of system pairs (AODB-FIDS/BRS/BHS/IVRS/VDGS). This strategy, implemented in response to COVID-19 restrictions, marked the first-ever initiative to test integrations remotely within the airport sector.She actively participates in commissioning activities, reviews and approves test plans and specifications from different vendors, and ensures compliance with project requirements during the execution of test plans. Her expertise in system migrations and integration testing has contributed to the successful migration of existing airport IT systems and the implementation of new/upgraded systems in production.

As the Business Development Manager at SITA from April 2016 to March 2018, Sonal Agarwal played a key role in promoting SITA's Airport Solution Line products to potential clients. Her responsibilities included managing requirements for Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) and coordinating with airlines for interface development. Sonal successfully managed the go-live of SITA's Self BagDrop in Mumbai International Airport, contributing to the seamless implementation of this innovative solution. She also completed a Proof of Concept (PoC) with the Center for Railways Information System for Access Control Gates.Her key result areas (KRAs) included promoting SITA's Airport Solution Line products to potential clients and ensuring they had up-to-date and relevant knowledge through regular presentations and meetings. Sonal maintained a strong understanding of the features, benefits, and competitive advantages of SITA's products, enabling her to effectively communicate their value to clients. In her role, Sonal handled and managed all requirements for MIAL, which became the first airport in India to implement Self-BagDrop. During her tenure at Unisys India Ltd. as a Subject Matter Expert from April 2009 to September 2015, Sonal Agarwal contributed her expertise to various projects.In 2009-2010, Sonal served as the Test and Integration Manager for the DIAL T3 Project. Her key responsibility was to develop and implement Integration Test Plans, ensuring the smooth integration of systems within the project.From 2011 to 2015, Sonal worked as an SME for the AirCore project, where she provided her extensive knowledge in DCS (Departure Control System), baggage handling, and flight operations.
