Position focused on identifying and evaluating opportunities for optimal fit based on strategic, scientific and business considerations in relation to Biogen’s existing pipeline▪ Assess assets across multiple therapeutic areas including Pain, Movement Disorders, Neuromuscular Disorders, Fibrosis, Immunology and Ophthalmology o Search and evaluation efforts encompass multiple therapeutic modalities, including small molecules, biologics (antibodies, proteins, gene therapy vehicles), and nucleic acid-based technologies including RNA-based therapeutics▪ Organize and lead confidential meetings and reviews including internal de-briefs resulting in decisions to advance towards diligence ▪ Lead scientific and technical due diligence evaluations for opportunities spanning preclinical, clinical and platform technologies o Facilitate discussions that drive consensus towards decisions and provide informed and balanced recommendations to senior leadership and governance bodies▪ With therapeutic area teams, develop strategy to support the neuroscience investment objectives ▪ Conduct therapeutic/disease-area and target-specific landscape assessments to proactively inform search and evaluation activities
