The Pestival vision is to reconnect people with the world around them through insects. It challenges the perception of insects as pests, instead celebrating them as caretakers of our planet. Without them, we wouldn’t be here. Pestival is creating a major touring festival for 2018, with the support of the Wellcome Trust, which will open in London before moving to Newcastle, Manchester, Glasgow, and Bristol. Pestival is creating a major touring festival for 2018, with the support of the Wellcome Trust, which will open in London before moving to Newcastle, Manchester, Glasgow, and Bristol. It'll combine the thrill of a theme park, the buzz of a festival and the rigour of a science fair. By day a family interactive festival, by night an adult “edutainment” venue, celebrating and learning around the insect theme with scientific and conservation experts, comedians and musicians. Pestival will build multi-media content to engage and retain an active global digital community. We are a social enterprise within the structure of a Community Interest Company.- Project management - maintain timelines and update cashflow- Event management - Managing guestlists and responses to invitations (by phone or email)- Assist in the recruitment and co-ordination of events staff / volunteers- Assist in all aspects of pre- event preparation and on the day support as required by the senior team which include catering, drinks, venue finding, organising deliveries and sourcing products- Ensure smooth running of events and clean-up - Diary management and liaison with admin team at Leagas Delaney - Maintaining shared folder facilities within Dropbox - Managing weekly report updates, action lists and cost ramifications- Helping to devise and managing Pestival’s online presence – eg, social media campaigns, updating website- Preparing documents- Writing and distributing newsletter - Phone and web-based research into possible corporate sponsors / funders - Incorporating and managing Pestival’s databases and using MailChimp to communicate - Undertake all other reasonable duties as required by the organisation. Lights of Soho is London's leading neon light art gallery and private members club which is a cultural hub for Soho’s creative community. The gallery alongside holding art focused events hosts an exciting events programme which ranges from film, fashion, music, product launches, book signings and our London Fashion Week takeover. My role there is to help run the Events & Membership programme alongside the head of events and membership.
