YMCA has been a part of the community in Christchurch since 1862, with the first YMCA Christchurch purpose built building opened in 1884 on the corner of Cambridge Terrace and Hereford st. This remained the home of the Y until the 1960's when they moved to the current city site just two blocks east on Hereford St, taking over a site vacated by the University of Canterbury's move to Ilam. Fifty years on it is time for the next stage in the YMCA Christchurch's evolution with a new modern purpose built home to be developed.

Manage the provision of project management services to ensure high quality building construction for the University and management of associated risks. Provide this through the leadership of a team of project managers and facilitate the forward planning of the Capital Works Improvement Programs to ensure that resource investments deliver the best value for money and service outcomes for the University.

Currently responsible for - The Post Settlement Remediation Programme on the campus, along with Campus Masterplanning. The role included the hands on delivery of BNZ and Customhouse Buildings within the Harbour Quays Development, along with the feasibility study of a number of other potential developments.

Responsible for the management of the design team developing a number of schemes for the redevelopment of Battersea Power Station by Parkview International. This focussed on the coversion of the heritage listed structure into a modern high end retail, entertainment and food & beverage destination. Along with managing the links to the other planned developments in the masterplan. As well as designs by world renowned Architects Grimshaw and Buro Happold Engineers, the concepts included a futuristic hotel designed by Ron Arad called Upperworld (http://www.ronarad.co.uk/upperworld-hotel/) along with designs for the retail and entertainment spaces by Barber Osgerby and Universal Design.

I was responsible for coordinating the integration of the British Airways requirements within the BAA developed Terminal 5. My main focus was terminal B (secondary structure) with a specific responsibility for the design development of the British Airways lounges and passenger areas.

Responsible for the management and delivery of site specific design for the ongoing rollout of Tesco Metro across the UK. With four new stores a month added to the roll out, this was a fast paced highly demanding role with the Astound Design team required to respond in a timely manner to the client's programme.
