Hi, I am Sonia! I am from Chicago, Illinois, and currently sophomore at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, majoring in Finance. I take on the role of the fundraising director for IU's Women in Business, am an active member of the Civic Leaders Center, and serve on the philanthropy cabinet of my student organization, Chi Omega. My interest in business started after my senior year of high school when I interned at the FBI, where I was speaking with officials who managed the marketing, finance, and overall operations of the Bureau. One of the most notable skills I acquired was critical thinking ability, as I delved into complex data analysis and risk assessment, sharpening my ability to identify patterns and make informed decisions. The investigative nature of the work cultivated my problem-solving abilities, challenging me to think creatively to overcome obstacles and achieve objectives. Inspired by the complexities faced by these professionals, I further explored the realm of business and finance, ultimately shaping my academic and career pursuits. Looking ahead, I plan to attend law school after my undergraduate education, leveraging my finance degree to pursue a career as a corporate lawyer. With a strong foundation in finance and an understanding of ethical decision-making, I am committed to making a positive impact and contributing to the success of organizations. I'm eager to continue developing my skills and refining my strengths as I progress. On a personal level, I enjoy health and fitness, traveling, outdoor activities, and reading.
