I work as a summer support teacher in Prospect Park. In classes for children 2-9 years old, I support messy, immersive play. The outdoor location, play-based philosophy, and child-driven curriculum allow for children to be engaged and inspired to explore, observe, and learn in nature. We have a small class size, low student to teacher ratio, and meet outside in all weather.

I teach toddlers (ages 2-3) using the HighScope Curriculum, which emphasizes child-led learning attuned to the interests and curiosities of the student. My duties include putting together daily lesson plans, overseeing educational activities for children, interacting with guardians to discuss the progress of their child and keeping the classroom environment safe, welcoming and healthy. I believe in scaffolding supportive camaraderie amongst students and supporting the class as a community. I am a firm believer in modeling the values and behaviors that lead to enriched and meaningful experiences, including curiosity, friendship, respect, kindness, generosity, courage, tenacity and passion.

Working with GAIA's Circular Economy Design Team, I outlined, researched, developed graphics and wrote on EV battery repurposing and repair. I created fact sheets on the Right to Repair, the international waste trade, legacies of environmental injustice, and the importance of corporate accountability and responsibility in designing for repair.

I had the privilege of helping to spread Christmas magic in Macy's Santaland as an elf! From Black Friday to Christmas Eve, Santaland, which welcomes 170,000+ visitors every year, opens at Macy's flagship store in Manhattan. I managed photo sessions with Santa, checked in visitors through the reservation system, answered customer questions, interacted and improvised with children, ushered and directed guests through the experience in accordance with safety protocols, and communicated with management regarding the upkeep of Santaland over headset.

The Climate Reality Project is an international advocacy nonprofit headed by former vice president Al Gore.I assisted the Climate Speakers Network (CSN) in administering their Incubator and Grant programs. CSN mentors Global Shaper Hubs from the World Economic Forum in need-finding, brainstorming, strategizing and implementing climate projects at the city level. I facilitated break-out room discussions related to Incubator material on environmental justice, project planning and relationship building. I researched and compiled a report on how city-wide plastics waste management projects can best be supported, using interviews. I produced TikTok videos for the social media team, published blog post and emails for the communications team.

Greenaction mobilizes community power to change government and corporate policies to protect community and environmental well-being.With Greenaction, I researched and responded to community questions on DTSC clean-up projects in Vallejo and Watsonville. I participated in in-person community outreach in Bayview Hunters Point—a predominantly Black neighborhood in San Francisco facing leftover radioactive contamination. I researched and wrote a comprehensive policy guide for Greenaction to uphold environmental justice in lithium mining projects, focusing on case studies in the Salton Sea and Thacker Pass. In addition to my communications work, I assisted in administrative duties, including taking meeting minutes for the Bayview Hunters Point Environmental Justice Task Force and monitoring the IVAN network for posts.

The Sunrise Movement is a youth-led movement to stop climate change and advocate for green jobs through electoral work. I founded Sacramento’s Food Justice team, host its meetings and organize food distribution and community-building events. I proofread communications work for Green New Deal champion Katie Valenzuela and hosted a Stand For Climate rally in Monterey, CA.

BlueGreen Alliance aims to support union workers and green jobs through legislative advocacy. In addition to drafting communications on the Civilian Climate Corps, Davis Bacon prevailing wages, and Buy America/n provisions, I researched the current cascade of asbestos-cement pipe failures taking place nationwide. I created a comprehensive internal report on the risks utility workers face in repairing and replacing asbestos-cement pipes and the solutions Congress could adopt to protect these workers and the country's drinking water.

In the Stanford course Shades of Green: Exploring and Expanding Environmental Justice in Practice, students are paired with community partners to tackle an issue of equity and access. I facilitated effective collaboration between community partners and Stanford students by assisting with scheduling, handling conflicts, completing administrative work and supporting students in their quarter-long projects and organizing a final presentation event.

Located in the Philippines, community development organization FRIEND aims to alleviate poverty in rural Agusan del Sur and Davao del Oro through agriculture. I conducted weekly webinars and facilitated team-building activities for FRIEND’s Board of Directors.I coached FRIEND in goal-setting, strategic planning, participatory rural appraisal, persuasive communications, and leadership.

As the founder of Stanford Daily Video, I lead my staff in scriptwriting, shooting and editing footage, creating motion graphics, scheduling production and conducting interviews to produce The Daily’s first ever weekly news show as well as long-form pieces, using the Adobe Suite.I advised staffers in producing and digitally editing photo essays.

CTGCA’s mission is to reach gender parity in California legislature. I researched, organized and graphically designed a packet of resources and tools for female candidates launching their political campaign for office.

I operated smoke machines, dry-ice guns and spotlights. I communicated with camera operators to position them during halftime shows. I ushered fans, athletes and visiting celebrities during events.

Moneta Ventures is a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage enterprise and healthcare technologies. I evaluated new investment opportunities, created comprehensive due diligence reports and studied business accelerators to form a model for Sacramento’s accelerator.

Electro Scan, Inc. specializes in sewer and water leak detection products. I wrote and designed their 24-page semi-annual newsletter. 20,000 copies were mailed to international sewer and water agencies. I also helped draft the company’s latest patent application.

As a Cognitive Exchange teacher, I virtually instructed middle- and high-school students located in India how to effectively write and present a speech in an eight-week course. I led students through in-class exercises, assigned homework, provided feedback on writing and hosted culminating speech showcases.
