Sonja Belle is the Director of Occupational Fitness Solutions, where she consults and sub-contracts her expertise in workers compensation case management, ergonomics, injury management and injury prevention to both public and private sector organisations. Sonja’s experience has predominantly been in injury management working in a variety of workers compensation systems (Western Australia, New South Wales and the National framework including ComCare and Seacare) to assist injured workers back to work through a case management model. During her 25 years in occupational medicine, Sonja’s work has included: -the management of long term, high cost, and complex workers compensation cases, - training organisations in best practice injury management, health and wellbeing and creating solutions for optimal employee health,- quality and project management of various OHS projects,- mentoring and management of Injury Management Advisors,- review and standardising of inhouse injury management systems,- office ergonomics,- onsite manual handling,- risk assessments,- complex industrial ergonomics projects including those on and offshore.Sonja has a passion for learning and inspiring other to do the same, holding positions tutoring and lecturing at Curtin University. Her strengths in networking, enquiry, learning, advocacy and development has enabled Sonja to sit on committee positions both within her professional and personal pursuits. A postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management compliments many of the services Sonja provides to corporations. Sonja has held membership at the Australian Institute of Management (AIM), Ergonomics Society of Australia (HFESA) and the Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association (ARPA). She is a Registered Occupational Therapist.
