I am an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner currently employed with Harborview Medical Center in Seattle Washington, where I provide primary care to adult patients, treating chronic and acute illnesses, and providing preventative care services. I am looking to advance my career and skill set by seeking opportunities both in the United States and abroad. I hope to find a location that will allow me to continue to hone my procedural and diagnostic skills and work with other providers in a collaborative setting, and that may afford opportunities to develop skills more specific to public health and global health initiatives. I bring with me a strong set of clinical skills, having worked on the Navajo Nation at a comprehensive healthcare facility for two years where I gained extensive experience serving a rural population of adults and children with both coexisting chronic illness and acute conditions in outpatient, urgent care, and inpatient settings. I have also gained extensive experience working independently in satellite clinics in Yakima, both in a community center and in a homeless health care clinic. Currently I work with adult patients in Seattle, the majority of whom are experiencing homeless, or have been chronically homeless, many of whom have significant chronic illness and/or substance use disorders. My other areas of specific interest are infectious disease and international child health. I have a strong sense of commitment to under-served populations, and hope to continue to work in a capacity where I will be able to serve those most in need.
Listed skills include Nexplanon Insertion And Removal, Wound Care, Punch And Shave Biopsy, Toenail Removal, and 8 others.
