As a military officer, I have a Command Philosophy. My vision for conducting business.1. Vision: Maintain a cohesive team of competent, disciplined and motivated individuals who possess the skill and will to accomplish our mission and any tasks presented with respect and compassion.2. Our mission dictates everything we do. Make a timeline and stick to it. The job must be completed on time, but with accuracy. However, be flexible. Changes happen, and the way we react sets the tone. Be positive and be proactive.3. I live by the Army Values as well as my Christian values. We get the mission done right; we are tactically and technically proficient; we care for our people and families with passion; and we hold ourselves as the best.4. Our legacy is the success of those that follow us. We have a responsibility to develop future leaders. Seize every opportunity to train subordinates to move up and take our place. We enhance readiness by maximizing the potential of our greatest asset—our people.5. Be fully engaged...daily. Train for the fight that has not yet occurred—“train as you fight; fight as you train.” To achieve this goal, be innovative with our time and resources. Why? Because the next emergency doesn’t care if a team is ready.6. Create a command climate of mutual trust and empowerment. Always do what is right and sustain integrity. The characteristics of the team take on the traits of its leadership. Any negativity that undermines unit cohesion is a threat to the mission. I encourage cooperation versus confrontation.Always strive to do better and be better. Discipline is the foundation of every great team, and it is essential for mission success. When it comes to the team, be firm, but fair. Disciplined people will lead to building a team that delivers superior performance, makes a distinctive impact on the communities we serve, and achieves lasting endurance.God is my center. He is my constant, my strength, and my inspiration to be a better Christian at work and at home. Never lose your faith in Him.
