Our main work started in the Kullu valley where we worked with local artisans, self-help groups and farmers to protect their workmanship and products as a GI (Geographical Indicator) We formalised our efforts and registered the social enterprise in 2011. Since 2011 NIEV has worked for educating people and promoting sustainability, supporting himalayan artists, building a positive culture around hemp and uplifting eco tourism in Himalayas. I also gave a TedX Talk about the same in 2013 which was the first Tedx talk event in India.During covid we ventured to take up agriculture and its practices more seriously, learning in depth about cannabis and hemp Horticulture, sustainable urban farm setups, natural building solutions, new farming techniques such as hydroponics, aeroponics, organic farming, permaculture etc. In 2022 we set-up our own eco-farm on the outskirts of Delhi based on the principles of permaculture design and regenerative agriculture. Our long term goal is to spend time and resources in bringing people closer to nature in order to save it. We believe one can certainly depend on a lot of natural resources and remedies to lead a happy, healthy and long life, free from mental ailments.We are now spending most of our time researching about Hemp and alternate medicinal plants, their uses and their service to mankind which have been forgotten in the recent past.
