  After almost a decade after leaving Starbucks in 2007 and pursuing my career in the paralegal industry as a Paralegal for the Florida Office of the Attorney General, Children’s Legal Service in the 13th Judicial Circuit and then promoted to Magistrate Assistant in the 6th Judicial Circuit Probate, Guardianship, and Estate Planning, I retired early and had an opportunity to continue growth in my passion with coffee knowledge. In April of 2018, I accepted a position as a Barista at Tampa General Hospital. Each day, I continued to grow and learn with not only coffee knowledge but expanded growth in projected management possibilities. On October 12, 2018, with only 20 hrs before the District Area Championship, I competed and placed second by one point. To leave the coffee industry and then return after almost a decade, with the knowledge that I maintained is a beautiful accomplishment.
