Over the summer, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Disney Cultural Exchange Program, working at Disney's Hollywood Studios as part of the Fantasmic! nighttime show team. My role was diverse and dynamic, requiring me to manage various responsibilities that ensured each guest experienced the magic of Disney. I was heavily involved in crowd control, ensuring guest safety and smooth operations during peak times. My duties also included completing detailed safety checklists, assisting guests with disabilities to provide an inclusive experience, and adhering strictly to fire safety codes. Additionally, I engaged directly with guests, answering their questions and resolving issues to enhance their overall experience. Throughout, I remained committed to maintaining the joyful and magical environment that Disney is renowned for, making every guest’s visit to Fantasmic! truly unforgettable. This experience not only honed my skills in guest relations and safety management but also deepened my understanding of creating memorable experiences in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

From 2018 to 2022, I had the privilege of volunteering as a Young Leader at my local Rainbows group, a journey that began as part of my Duke of Edinburgh Award but quickly became a passion I couldn't leave behind. Each week, I helped plan and deliver engaging sessions for the girls, including educational activities, arts and crafts, and games that kept them busy and excited. I cherished the creativity required to make every meeting special, ensuring the girls always had something new to look forward to.When the pandemic hit, our in-person meetings shifted to Zoom, presenting us with unique challenges. However, we adapted by developing inventive games and activities that translated well to the virtual space, ensuring the girls continued to have a fun and meaningful experience despite the distance. Through this period, I learned the importance of flexibility and resilience in leadership, as well as the value of maintaining a sense of community, even in challenging circumstances.Watching the girls grow, develop new skills, and eventually move on to new adventures has been one of the most rewarding aspects of this role. Each new intake brought fresh energy and excitement, and I loved being a part of their journey. My time as a Young Leader has been incredibly fulfilling, and it has deepened my commitment to volunteerism and youth development.
