I was elected Vice President of Finance by members of the Theta Zeta chapter of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Being the VPF for my sorority is a major responsibility, as I oversee the finances for one hundred eleven women. I am responsible for managing a budget of over $200,000, allocating the budget to nine executive positions, participating in monthly audits, and corresponding with the national branch of the sorority.

As a member of Washington and Lee's Connolly Entrepreneurship Society, I collaborate with other members to develop our entrepreneurial ideas into products and businesses. Other members and I work in teams to complete consulting projects for alumni, local businesses, and other start-ups. We convene for two hours a week in addition to outside work on projects.

I began dancing for Washington and Lee's Repertory Dance Company at the beginning of my freshman year at W&L. Dance has been a lifelong passion of mine, which progressed into dancing at the college level. In addition to my full course load, I rehearse for five hours a week during the regular weekly schedule, and fifteen hours a week during the week leading up to a performance. I have had the opportunity to perform in front of hundreds of people in the "W&L Dancers Create" and the annual winter recital. In 2024, I had the opportunity to travel to New York City to perform with Washington and Lee alumni. In 2023, I competed with five-thousand dancers in the American College Dance Festival of the Mid-Atlantic South region.

During my internship at Armijo Carpentry LLC, I gained hands-on experience in financial management and bookkeeping, utilizing QuickBooks to streamline and improve accounting accuracy. I learned and applied QuickBooks software for efficient financial management. My re-coding of past transactions ensured precise financial records, ultimately speeding up the billing process and enhancing accuracy. I supported daily financial operations, meticulously tracking income and expenses, managing invoicing, and reconciling accounts to ensure accurate reporting and cash flow management. Additionally, I organized financial reports, maintained meticulous financial records, and managed essential documentation in order to enhance operational efficiency. This streamlined access to information, supporting informed financial decision-making for the company. This role equipped me with invaluable skills in financial analysis, attention to detail, and effective organization, which I look forward to bringing into future professional experiences.

As a member of Skaneateles High School's DECA club for four years, I took on the role of becoming president my senior year. Being a member of DECA had equipped me with skills in finance, hospitality, and entrepreneurship, and I wanted to help others reach their academic and professional goals as well. Competing in DECA competitions, I earned first-place in regional competitions in “Personal Financial Literacy” during my junior year and “Team Entrepreneurship” in my senior year. As president, I supported students in excelling in competitive categories, including finance, marketing, hospitality, and management, by providing targeted exam preparation and conducting mock interviews for students. Through this guidance, students gained confidence and honed their skills, achieving significant success in their respective fields.

As hostess, my duties involved seating and assisting hundreds of customers a week and managing the pairing of customers to available waitstaff. My job took place during the COVID-19 pandemic, so additional responsibilities included recording the names and phone numbers of patrons and contacting all patrons in case any staff member or recent patron became sick.
