In this role, I am sales focused as well as an overseer of the store’s sales associates. I sell and troubleshoot devices such as smartphones, tablets, watches and home internet. I also process shipments, handle inventory, make schedules, update plannogram, and coach sales associates. I hold myself and the store’s sales associates accountable with trackers posted in the back room as well as one on one conversations. The posted trackers are helpful to ensure sales associates know where they are sitting at in terms of sales as well as give recognition and promote motivation in the work place.

At DXL, my role was mainly sales focused while branching out into clerical work and leadership. I used open ended questions to find best fits for customers. I also processed shipment, set the store to plannogram, and made runs to the bank. After about a year of working at DXL, I began doing the weekly paperwork, processing damaged goods, making schedules and keeping our store up to date with incoming guidelines (price changes, discontinued items, etc.). When I first started at DXL, I was a part time sales associate. I was promoted to part time keyholder, then full time keyholder.
