To achieve this vision, RBBB’s Tier-4 evidence-based literacy program pairs early elementary Readers with 4th – 8th-grade Leaders in a program facilitated by RBBB Program Coaches, many of whom are future educators at local community colleges. During twice-weekly 90-minute sessions, Readers, Leaders, and Program Coaches work to improve concentration, reading comprehension, and the enjoyment of reading – all while bolstering leadership skills. With this unique cross-age peer-tutoring model, RBBB serves not just one, but two students at the same time, and simultaneously provides future educators with valuable classroom experience. Investing in system-wide change, RBBB’s innovative solution operates from the understanding of literacy as a vehicle for social justice, inspiring generations of engaged learners and leaders and propelling the social and material conditions of communities in need.

SKIP is a non-profit organization helping economically-disadvantaged children in El Porvenir realize their right to an education. SKIP offers holistic support to families focussing around two main themes: Education and Family Welfare (Social & Economic stability).Helped build and then led largest department of international development organisation in northern Peru; designing and executing annual core curriculum and bi-annual holiday clubs. This programme received a commendation during a site visit by professional contacts in the Bill Gates foundation. Held responsibility also for designing and implementing project evaluation systems. Collated data with which to report and analyse programme success and annual improvement process. Results as basis for first comprehensive annual report in 2010 and all grant funding applications going forward.Managed project of considerable scale (330 users across four educational progammes – Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary and English) to an annual budget of just $35 000.
