I am a physicist with a PhD in the field of particle accelerators. I have more than 15 years’ experience in industry as a physicist, systems engineer, and system architect working on projects ranging from very small to the very large international projects. I also have experience with international sales and radiation protection.I have been both a team member and leading commissioning on large accelerator facilities in Australia, Germany and China. I work well with people of very different educational and cultural backgrounds. I strive to create a comfortable work environment where asking questions and proposing solutions are always encouraged.Through my work system architect on the Siemens Particle Therapy system for cancer treatment, I gained valuable experience in product development, from prototype to finished product. As part of a small to medium sized company, I have also had the opportunity to take on many different roles, mostly that of systems engineer, but also utilizing my teaching experience and broad knowledge of programming and IT.I enjoy working in an environment where the science and technical problems combine with the commercial realities: delivering a great product that safely fulfills, though not overdo, the technical specifications.
