About Laurentiu Sorin Stanescu
Scientist and high-tech enthusiast. Currently, Technical Manager at LIG Nanowise Ltd where I contributed substantially at the invention and development of Nanopsis – the world’s first super-resolution optical microscope. Formerly, I had a Project Manager position at Advanced Laser Technology Ltd where I was in charge of laser cleaning systems design and manufacturing. I have also almost 4 years of experience in repairing lasers and scientific instrumentation at Apel Laser. I have a PostDoc in nano-optics from The University of Manchester (Laser Processing and Research Centre, School of MACE) and a PhD in lasers for nanotechnology and medical applications. My BSc is in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. Lasers, microscopy and nanotechnology are my strengths. R&D is my passion.
