I am Director of North West Maintenance Services an electrical and mechanical engineering company in Wigan. I have worked to build our company’s reputation as market leaders in fitting sewage pumps and installing drainage systems such as the award-winning Deragger II but our engineers are also experts in working in potentially hazardous atmospheres involving oil & gas, and carrying out electrical site services and building services for many high profile clients throughout the UK. We are currently engaged with major UK house builders installing SFA7 pumping stationsMy role today involves working with high profile clients, such as Morrisons, but I have been a working engineer since 1994 and am a hands-on Director. Any company which works with North West Maintenance Services will meet me sooner rather than later, whether talking them through the CCTV drainage footage to show that their issue has been resolved, or assisting our engineers during their electrical site services and building services work. Prior to my current role, which I anticipate will be busy dealing with sales of the Deragger II, I worked for two very different companies, one role laying the groundwork for my work with sewage pumps.At Site Electrical, my role was far more involved with sewage pumps as a service engineer, looking after pumping stations primarily for local authorities, a role which mirrors much of the work we at NWMS carry out in our electrical site services and building services.Although I still think of myself as an engineer, and would be as confident working alongside oil & gas pipes as is my 20-strong team of engineers, I enjoy the client relationships I have been able to build at NWMS, whether that’s advocating the benefits of CCTV drainage or the Deragger II

I have been a working engineer since 1994 and am as much an engineer as the ones I manage, going out on site to assist our team and solving issues in a single trip. Although part of my role at North West Maintenance Services is getting the company ready to handle the sale of the Deragger II, which we expect to become the pump management system of choice from now on.
