As a Data Engineer at Techolution, I was responsible for designing and developing data pipelines to support the client's data processing and analytics needs. Specifically, I worked on a migration project that involved transitioning the company's existing Autosys job scheduling system to Google Cloud Composer Airflow, as well as migrating data storage from on-premises solutions to Google Cloud Storage (GCS) and Google BigQuery.My key responsibilities as a Data Engineer included:> Designing and implementing DAGs (Directed Acyclic Graphs) that define the sequence of tasks and dependencies needed to process and transform data.> Developing custom Python scripts and plugins to support data processing tasks, such as ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations and data validation and verification.> Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that data pipelines are aligned with business goals and that data is delivered in a timely and accurate manner.> Troubleshooting issues related to data pipeline performance and stability, and implementing solutions to address those issues.> Developing and implementing data quality checks and controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data, and monitoring data pipeline performance using monitoring tools such as Stackdriver.Overall, my work as a Data Engineer at Techolution was focused on leveraging Google Cloud technologies to build scalable and efficient data pipelines that enabled the company to process and analyze large volumes of data more effectively. As a Data Scientist at Discover Dollar Inc, my primary responsibility was to leverage my expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to help the company extract valuable insights from its Elastic Search data.
