I am an Entrepreneur, Full-Stack Software Engineer, and Non-Profit Board Member who has co-founded and built 4 startups previously - 3 for-profit startups and one 501c3 non-profit, Getaway Growth. My background is diverse in both experience and education. For Bandruption, I’m bringing the vision for blockchain technology to the music industry in particular, having been involved with blockchain since 2014, including hosting meetups, operating in a web3 focused co-working space with a previous startup, and partnering with web3 entrepreneurs. I have over 16 years of professional experience, including software engineering, university teaching, business and language consultation, and public health informatics. Much of my work includes working for my own business, working as a freelancer, and in leadership roles. My formal education includes a Master of Public Health, Master of Public Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, among other certifications and coursework. Perhaps most importantly, I’m very passionate about music and especially helping up-and-coming music artists. I think the U.S. market in particular has become a bleak environment for the vast majority of music artists who would want to create and perform music for a living. I have a network in the music community, and I want to bring blockchain technology in to enable autonomous fan communities to form around the music and artists they love.
