Developed a comprehensive award-winning curriculum to teach Spanish to children, for use in elementary schools and homeschooling. As the creator of this program, orchestrating its production every step of the way, I contracted with some of the best to produce the illustrations, background music, book layout, editing, printing, videos, website, online game development and other elements that make this program stand out from others in presentation and personal service.

Offered after school Spanish classes in Austin, Round Rock and Pflugerville public schools. Started curriculum development by teaching children in elementary schools and providing materials and training to enable teachers in other schools to use the program. Coordinated Spanish-speaking parent volunteers in my children's public elementary school to teach Spanish 30 minutes once a week in grades K-5 using the curriculum in development. There are now over 35 schools in the Austin using Risas y Sonrisas with parent volunteers. As focus turned more to curriculum development, I continued to teach small groups of students in my home, providing valuable experience for later development of the homeschooling program.
