Based at CERN, I had a leading role both in commissioning a complex subsection of a multi-purpose detector. I completed the development of a new scheme to explore its calibration and noise properties by analysing both real and simulated data samples. Initiated studies on simulated data to reconstruct and observe top quarks and resonances decaying to top quarks produced at LHC.I led discussions in meetings analysing the data, presented results in international workshop and conferences on behalf of the ATLA Collaborations. I developed two new schemes to calibrate and monitor a significant part of the ATLAS detector called calorimetry.
