Work undertaken included:- Detailed transaction accounting, maintaining ledgers and trial balance review- Account reconciliations, funds management and period end procedures- Filing statutory receipts and payments accounts- Realising tangible and intangible assets- Negotiating the sale of freehold and leasehold properties- Dealing with landlords to agree claims, and assign/surrender/disclaim leasehold interests- Considering post insolvency Health & Safety risks- Debt collection- Reviewing records to identify claims against former directors- Close liaison with solicitors, agents and bankers- Reporting to secured creditors and providing accurate estimates of likely recoveries- Preparing and submitting post insolvency VAT and corporation tax returns- Reviewing employee claims against insolvent estates- Identifying and agreeing all other claims and making distributions to creditors as soon as possible- Preparing and reviewing various legal documents and obtaining Court Orders on various insolvency mattersIn addition to the above, I was responsible for conducting "internal audit" file reviews on all insolvency cases in the North West region to ensure full compliance with both statutory requirements and internal guidance and procedures.
