Obdurate expat Londoner who moved to Slovakia just for the hell of it back in 1998 and has spent almost his whole career self-employed.With few competitors and a mildly nerdy nature he was for some years probably the fastest good quality Slovak-to-English translator in the country. The hours were inhumane, the money good, but then times changed, the economy slowed, former emigrants returned speaking English and Google Translate cut the bottom out the market.At the end of 2014 he sets up a small English language school (SpeakEasy Bernolákovo) on the basis of the observation that most adults (<60 years) would like to learn English, but are discouraged by the inconvenience (likewise parents of language-learning kids).Our language school SpeakEasy Bernolákovo overcomes these inconveniences and introduces the innovations of beer, wine, coffee, pizza in lessons for adults and networked gaming and touchscreen programming for kids.Ambition: to offer Chinese language lessons for kids.
