My background combines the field of Rhetoric & Writing Studies with a focus on artificial intelligence. In my current role as a Senior Writer at Outlier AI, I train state-of-the-art generative-AI by grading, fact-checking, and rewriting AI responses, prioritizing clear, effective, and accurate information. This work highlights my broad skillset, which combines teaching, research, content writing, technical writing, and curriculum design. I am the former Assistant Director of Technical Writing & Communication at the University of Oklahoma. In this role, I designed effective pedagogies that specialized in translating complex and technical topics for a lay audience. I also taught technical writing, library research, and freshman composition courses that emphasized the importance of clear communication and critical thinking skills. By integrating my research interests and teaching practice, I hope to equip students with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of online information and to become effective communicators in their respective fields.
