I am an immigration lawyer at Lenton Migration Law, a specialist migration law firm providing strategic migration advice and assistance to corporate and individual clients, with a focus on highly complex and difficult matters. I work closely with Principal Solicitor Victoria Lenton, Accredited Specialist in Immigration Law (QLD & NSW).During my time at Lenton Migration Law, some of the particularly complex matters I have assisted with include:- section 501(3A) character cancellations, at both the revocation and merits review stages;- PIC 4007 health waiver applications;- citizenship "good character" submissions;- Schedule 3 Partner visa submissions;- complex identity issues; - Ministerial Intervention requests; and- section 116 visa cancellations.I also have experience in a large number of visa types and matters, including:- employer sponsored visas, including labour agreements;- general skilled migration visas;- protection visas;- citizenship;- partner visas; and- child and parent visas.I previously worked as a migration paralegal from July 2021 to March 2022.

The Japan Exchange and Teaching Program is a highly competitive initiative aimed at promoting international exchange between Japan and other nations through English education. The Program is administered by the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR) in conjunction with the Ministry of Internal Affairs & Communications (MIC), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports Science & Technology (MEXT). I worked as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) at a combined junior and senior private high school in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. My duties and responsibilities included:- developing and administering SHS grade 2, and JHS grade 2 and 3 curriculum, including assessment, lesson plans and materials;- team-teaching a variety of language classes, including English Conversation and English Expression;- coaching English speech contestants; and- participating in field trips and other school events.

As the Prefectural Advisor (PA) for Tokyo private schools, I provided support for JET participants and contracting organisations. My tasks included:- organising professional development events, such as orientations and skill development conferences;- liaising with government bodies - in particular, the Shigaku Zaidan 私学財団 (Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for Private Schools) - to clarify working conditions and disseminate official information;- providing mental and physical health resources; and- providing assistance with contract interpretation and disputes.
