My primary roles within T-Rex include: 1) Managing the general ledger. I record a high volume of transactions each month and prepare account reconciliations for the majority of the balance sheet accounts. 2) Preparing invoices for T-Rex's largest customer (the U.S. Census Bureau). 3) Advising the CFO on cash flow matters, using a weekly forecasting model.

As part of Perforce's relatively small accounting and finance team, I got the opportunity to work within a wide variety of accounting processes, with a primary focus on revenue recognition. I determined the appropriate accounting treatment for a wide variety of complex customer contracts, posted all revenue transactions to the general ledger, and reported.

I specialized in the manufacturing and distribution industry, getting exposed to many niche areas including medical devices, farm equipment.

During the tax season of 2014, I completed approximately 400 tax returns from start to finish. I also frequently interacted directly with clients, either during the preparation process when more information was needed or during their final meetings.

At the former Datacard Group (now doing business as Entrust Datacard), I took primary responsibility on three extensive projects: ISO 9001 quality management audits, revenue recognition testing, and expense report testing. I performed a wide variety of analytical procedures and audit interviews over the course of my internship in order to verify that.
