I hold a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences, with a minor in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Oklahoma. Driven by my compassion and desire to make people’s lives easier, I am in my element when allowed to connect with people directly and teach them new skills, such as how to sail or stay safe during severe weather. With a high level of emotional intelligence, I feel most accomplished when I can help others be more confident in themselves and the environment around them. Having had the opportunity to grow up in a unique area, I come from a family of sailors and mariners and have sailed since I was young. This created a natural curiosity and awareness of the dynamics of weather and I can’t remember when I was not fascinated by the weather! I am also an outdoor enthusiast — sailing, mountain biking, downhill skiing — or anything challenging with a bit of speed.
