I also assist the lobbyists in preparation for clientmeetings and research on potential clients. In the Legislative and Public Policy Clinic at McGeorge School of Law, my colleague and I worked together to draft a bill and were tasked with getting it as far through the legislative process as we could. The bill that I helped create and have been working on is SB 338 (Hueso). In my capacity as Legislative Advocate, I have met with stakeholders surrounding many issues when fielding ideas for our bill, I wrote draft letters of support, I have contacted organizations that might be interested in supporting SB 338, successfully created a coalition of co-sponsors and supporters of the legislation, and worked directly with members of the Legislature and committee staff.

At Varner & Brandt LLP, I worked directly with attorneys on the litigation team. I drafted memos, discovery summaries, attended depositions, and had hands-on experience working on cases and coordinating with clients. I worked on settlements, letters to opposing counsel, and legal research.
