Over the course of a successful and diverse business career, Spencer has served as a key leader in sectors as diverse as consumer products, direct marketing, advertising, semiconductors and video production services. Prior to forming Spencer J. Brown Consulting LLC, Spencer served as CEO of Euro RSCG DRTV. During his tenure, Euro RSCG DRTV raised its annual billings from $14 million to over $450 million, thus becoming the largest direct response television advertising agency in the world. Before Euro RSCG, he served in a variety of senior corporate leadership positions in public and private companies including 800.com (CFO) which grew from pre revenue stage to $20MM of revenues, Now Software (CFO) a $13MM revenue company, Sundance Electronics (CEO) which grew from $1MM to $3MM of revenues, TriQuint Semiconductor (EVP & CFO) which grew from $30MM to $50MM in revenues, GigaBit Logic (CEO) which grew from $1MM to $12MM in revenues, CR Technology (CFO) which grew from less than $1MM to $3MM in revenues, and Compact Video Systems (CFO) which grew from $7MM to $37MM in revenues.Spencer is a retired Certified Public Accountant. Early in his career, he was an Auditor at Peat Marwick Mitchell (KPMG).He is the former Chairman of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network (OEN), a former board member and President of ACG Portland, and former board member of 800.com, ANSR:, ACG Global, Brandlive, Chemwest Engineering, Tactix, The Commerce Bank of Oregon, Direct Marketing Solutions and TriQuint Semiconductor. He is a former board advisor to Dotster, Rejuvenation and Tripwire. He received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Air Force in 1973 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from U.C.L.A. in 1976.
