I am an early-career consulting geochemist, and I strive to use the fullest extent of my technical skills and previous experience to inform scientifically-sound and focused solutions to geochemical questions. During my doctoral work, I studied aqueous sulfate remediation by immobilization using waste minerals from iron mining in collaboration with the University of Minnesota - Duluth and Natural Resources Research Institute. I have extensive experience with electron microscopy (SEM-EDS, (S)TEM-EDS) and powder X-ray diffraction to characterize complex mineral mixtures, as well as standard wet analytical methods (HPLC, UV-Vis, ICP-OES).I am also interested in science policy, particularly in the areas of natural resources management, environmental justice, and scientific ethics.I previously attended Carthage College and earned my BA with majors in Chemistry and Theatre.
