I oversee a team of five jewelers, manage the inventory of parts and completed jewelry, schedule the workshop's production queue, ensure the on-time delivery of rush orders, develop and maintain relationships with vendors, including basic accounting tasks, track budgets and spending, monitor buying trends, update product pricing, and coordinate tasks with the Sales Department, Orders Department, Shipping Department, Marketing Department, and Diamond Department. As Custom Design Manager, I run the Custom Design Department quoting custom job prices for the Sales Department, working to contract and train new designers, managing designers' workloads and assigning jobs to those best-suited to do the best work, working as a liaison between customers and designers, making sure that designs are completed in a timely and efficient manner, and ensuring the designers are paid for completed work.
