As part of a scrum team of about ten developers I have:- Created with the team a code base of 1 MLOC of which more than half is generated and has high test coverage (>70%) using tests that take only a few minutes.- Used (Verum ASD) and codeveloped (in-house data modeling tool and several smaller Python scripts) model-driven engineering tools for C++ code generation;- Developed C++ frameworks for, among others, dependency injection and to extend boost.range to two dimensions;- Introduced Jenkins CI for performing tests and quality checks;- Used C++ template meta programming to reduce code duplication;- Created a Python test framework that (using boost.python bindings) runs acceptance testson C++ algorithms;- Created a static type checker in Python for finding memory problems in legacy C code;- Coached team members.

My work consisted of theoretical research on magnetic field effects in organic semiconductors. I have shown the connection between the efficiency of an organic LED and the occurrence of magneto-electroluminescence. Furthermore, I have made predictions about the occurrence of huge magnetoconduction (close to -100%) in systems where the current flows through one-dimensional molecular chains. This could possible lead to cheap and sensitive magnetic field sensors. The methods that I have used are (analytical and numerical) calculations on stochastic Liouville equations (for small systems) and Monte Carlo simulations (for larger systems).I was employed by FOM.
