I started at Lexis Nexis as an Agile Team Lead/Engineering Lead for the Statutes Modernization Citations Team. This was a brand new team and as Team Lead was the first hire in Raleigh. I was involved in interviewing and building the team and an additional Agile Team for Notes and Prospective Data Updates. Both teams work on the system to load Legislative content into the Lexis Nexis system for Enrichments and use on Lexis+.I have since taken on the role of Team Lead for the Notes/PDU team and an Enhancements team. I now am Agile Kanban team lead for 3 Agile Teams that are geographically diverse.I serve as the initial point of contact with our business customers (Editorial), working with the Product Owners to prioritize the teams work. After having worked as a contractor, I converted to full time employee status in August 1999. I moved from developer to Technical Lead on the development team for the Loan Servicing application. While Technical Lead, I provided input on architectural design for the application, establishing a modular use of DLLs that encapsulated individual screens of the application. The modular design resulted in quicker and easier deployments since only the DLLs requiring changes were actually deployed. I provided quidance and technical support to the developers working on the application. I led a team of 6 developers in the re-architecture of the existing Mortgage Point of Sale application. This Team was focused on the View and Control layers of the application. I provided liason services with the Server Side team as well, actually developing with both teams. Later, I was employed in a role as a Technical Consultant. I assisted Educational Lending in creating Message Driven Bean middleware application that applied business rules to Education Loan application data and submitted the Loan Application to a third party provider for underwriting. I assisted Mortgage Origination Group in the design of the database for their Loan Officer tracking system to ensure compliance with Federal regulations on Loan Officer certification. I developed the data access layer of their application as well.
