As the team lead for the FreedomPay database administration team I am responsible for daily operations of all data services environments as well as project management and team mentoring. This includes performance monitoring/tuning of VLDBs, TSQL development, ETL design/development, development team support, business intelligence/report development, EDW management and junior team member mentoring and support.

As a data services consultant I was tasked with assisting clients with any aspect of the SQL Server platform in which they were having issues or requiring planning/implementation. This was a wide scope role in which I was tasked with platform implementation, performance tuning, best practices auditing, ETL design/development, high availability planning/implementation and disaster recovery incidents.

Led a team of 8 DBAs supporting the internal data services platforms of a national health insurance company. Myself and the team were responsible for operations DBA duties as well as business intelligence/report development. Worked closely with internal development groups to provide best practice guidance for coding standards and performance.

In this role I supported the Naval Education and Training Command by developing internal tools and processes used by the administration staff as well as students being trained by the department. This was achieved through the use of .NET and ColdFusion applications utilizing storage in MS SQL Server databases. My duties included the architecture of the back end data storage, application development and both application and data administration/maintenance.
